Terp Wrestlers Fall At Penn, 34-6

PHILADELPHIA - Five Penn wrestlers recorded bonus points as the 25th-ranked Quakers defeated Maryland, 34-6. Adam DeCosmo and Bryan Reiss recorded victories for the Terps in the loss at the Palestra in Philadelphia.

Penn won the first five duals and took a commanding 19-0 lead in the dual. DeCosmo, wrestling at 165 pounds, got the Terps on the board with a 9-3 win over Andrew Coles.

The Quakers then extended their lead with bonus-point wins in the next three bouts.

Reiss ended the day on a positive not for Maryland with a 3-1 win over Jayson Bowlsby at heavyweight.

The Terps will be back in action Wednesday night at 7:30 p.m. when they take on Navy in Annapolis. Maryland will return to Comcast Pavilion on Friday, Jan. 13, for its ACC opener against NC State at 7 p.m.
