COLLEGE PARK, Md. - The No. 21 University of Maryland wrestling team travels to Annapolis on Thursday, Jan. 10 to face intrastate rival and 22nd-ranked Navy at 7:00 p.m. at Halsey Field House. The Terrapins (7-3) have won five of their last six duals heading into the matchup while the Midshipmen went 1-2 at the Lonestar Duals last weekend in their first head-to-head action of the season. Fans can listen to the dual live on Takedown Radio.

Maryland enters Thursday's dual with its highest national ranking since 1990 when it reached as high as No. 20. Three Terp wrestlers are also recognized in the individual rankings, as sophomore Mike Letts is No. 7 at 174 pounds and classmate Hudson Taylor is No. 8 at 197 pounds. Letts owns a record of 11-3 while Taylor leads the team at 18-2 with 11 pins. Junior Josh Haines is ranked 19th at 184 pounds with a 10-5 record.

Bell was ranked 16th in the country at 133 pounds while Pinto was placed at No. 20 at 141 pounds in the preseason.

All three of Maryland's ranked wrestlers placed at the prestigious Southern Scuffle on Dec. 29-30 in which the Terps placed fifth out of 28 teams. Taylor won the 197-pound title while Letts finished second at 174. Haines finished in eighth place at 184 pounds.

Last season, Navy, ranked No. 25 at the time, beat Maryland 25-12 at Comcast Pavilion. Sophomore Hudson Taylor is the only returning Terp to have earned a win in that dual as he pinned Tyler Moyer in just 1:01. Junior Alex Krom and Jason Kiessling also won their matches in that contest.
