COLLEGE PARK, Md. - The Maryland Terrapins, powered by senior Jake Stork's 20th pin fall of the season, earned their first home dual meet win of the season over the George Mason Patriots by a score of 31-17.

The Terps started off slow out of the gate falling down 7-0 early after a decision by George Mason's Sean Early over Jason Kiessling, and a major decision by Richard Appau over Jason Ellis.

Patrick Cissne then defeated J.C. Cuffie 11-3 to put the Terps right back in the match. Then Jake Stork felled Nate Webster with just over 1:00 minute remaining in the first period to run his nation's best pin total to 20 on the season. With Stork's pin and then Sal Aquia earning a forfeit, the Terps took a 16-7 lead and never looked back.

The Patriots tried to make it close with a pin fall in the next match, the heavyweight division, but another two forfeits and a decision by Mike Lupa over Liam DeRenzis sealed the deal as the Terps went on to win.

The Terps improved to 3-3 overall while the Patriots fell to 1-5. Maryland will be in action next Sat. Jan. 25th in Westminster, Md. against Ursinus and McDaniel.
