B1G Announces 2020, 2021 Football Schedules

CHICAGO, Ill. – The Big Ten announced its football schedules for the 2020 and 2021 seasons on Tuesday afternoon. As part of the Big Ten’s schedule rotation, Maryland will host five conference games in 2020 and will host four in 2021.

The Terps open Big Ten play in 2020 at home against Minnesota on Oct. 3. They’ll also host Wisconsin (Oct. 24), Rutgers (Oct. 31), Ohio State (Nov. 14) and Michigan State (Nov. 28) at Capital One Field at Maryland Stadium.

Maryland will have back-to-back road games at Indiana (Oct. 10) and Northwestern (Oct. 17) in 2020. Road tilts at Michigan (Nov. 7) and Penn State (Nov. 21) will round out Maryland’s league schedule.

The Terps open Big Ten play on the road in 2021, traveling to Illinois on Sept. 18. It’ll mark the first all-time meeting between the programs in Champaign. Maryland will also play at Rutgers (Oct. 9), Minnesota (Oct. 30), Ohio State (Nov. 13) and Michigan State (Nov. 27).

Maryland will welcome Indiana (Oct. 2), Iowa (Oct. 23), Penn State (Nov. 6) and Michigan (Nov. 20) to Maryland Stadium in 2021. The complete schedule and game times will be announced at a later date.
