COLLEGE PARK, Md. -- The No. 1-seeded Maryland women's lacrosse team (20-0) hosts eighth-seeded Stony Brook (20-1) in the NCAA quarterfinals Saturday at noon.

• The Terps-Seawolves game will be streamed on BTN Plus.

• Due to Maryland graduations at the XFINITY Center, fans can only park in lot 11b, adjacent to the Complex. Fans are encouraged to arrive early due to increased traffic on campus.

• Junior attacker Megan Whittle led Maryland with five goals as the Terps routed High Point 21-6 in the NCAA second round last Sunday.

• Senior midfielder Zoe Stukenberg (3G, 2A) also had five points as the Terrapins took a 7-0 lead and never looked back. Junior attacker Kacie Longo set a career high with four goals.

SCOUTING THE stony brook seawolves

• The fourth-ranked Seawolves are on a 15-game win streak after beating Northwestern 13-9 in the second round last weekend.

• Stony Brook is led by Tewaaraton finalist Kylie Ohlmiller, who now holds the NCAA single-season record for points (157) with 75 goals and 82 assists. Kylie's younger sister, Taryn, is second on the team with 98 points.

• Kylie Ohlmiller and Brooke Gubitosi were named First Team All-Americans this week while Dorrien Van Dyke earned second team honors and Taryn Ohlmiller was named to the third team.

• Anna Tesoriero has played every minute in cage and holds a 7.00 goals-against average and a .484 save percentage.

TOURNEY TERPS

• The Terps lead the nation with 32 NCAA appearances and are also tops in wins (65), championship game appearances (20) and NCAA titles (12).

• Maryland made its 27th consecutive appearance in the postseason (1990-2016) last season. 

• The Terrapins have made eight straight Final Fours (2009-16) and captured three titles in that time (2010, 14, 15).

STUKENBERG, HADNAGY NAMED TEWAARATON FINALISTS

• Seniors Zoe Stukenberg and Nadine Hadnagy were announced as two of five finalists for the Tewaaraton Award.

• Stukenberg and Hadnagy are co-captains for the undefeated Terps this season. The seniors were both unanimous All-Big Ten selections and named to the Big Ten All-Tournament team after leading Maryland to the conference regular season and tournament titles.

• The Terps have had 19 Tewaaraton finalists in 14 years of the award. This is the fifth time Maryland has had two finalists in the same season.

b1g Champs! 

• Sophomore attacker Caroline Steele scored four goals and was named the tournament MVP as the Terps won the Big Ten Championship last weekend over Northwestern. Steele had nine goals and 10 points in two tournament games.

• Senior midfielder Zoe Stukenberg, senior defender Nadine Hadnagy, junior attacker Megan Whittle and sophomore goalie Megan Taylor were named to the all-tournament team.

TERPS FINISH REGULAR SEASON 17-0

• For the third straight year and the 10th time in program history, the Terps competed the regular season with a perfect record.

• Maryland captured its third straight Big Ten regular season title. In three seasons, the Terps have gone 16-0 in conference play.

• Five Terps earned IWLCA All-America honors this week, leading the nation in selections and first-team picks.

• Senior defender Nadine Hadnagy, senior midfielder Zoe Stukenberg and sophomore goalie Megan Taylor earned first team honors while junior attacker Megan Whittle was named to the second team. Senior attacker Caroline Wannen tallied third team honors.

• Eight Terps were selected to Inside Lacrosse's first-ever media All-American teams.

• Stukenberg and Hadnagy were named to the first team and Taylor and Whittle notched second team honors. Freshman attacker Kali Hartshorn, senior attacker Caroline Wannen, sophomore midfielder Jen Giles and sophomore defender Julia Braig were named honorable mentions.

• Junior Megan Whittle currently has 208 career goals, which ranks sixth in the Maryland record books. She can move into fifth with 220 goals to pass Kelly Coppedge.

• Senior Zoe Stukenberg has 169 career goals, which is ninth in the career record books. 

• Freshman Kali Hartshorn has 90 draw controls, which ranks sixth for a single season in Maryland history.
