COLLEGE PARK, Md. - The Maryland volleyball team (12-4, 1-3 B1G) returns to College Park to host Rutgers (5-11, 0-4) and No. 3 Penn State (13-1, 3-1) this weekend. The Terps will take on the Scarlet Knights in the Pavilion at 6 p.m. Friday and face the Nittany Lions on the XFINITY Center main court at 7 p.m. Saturday.

All parking lots around the XFINITY Center will be available for this weekend's matches. The Pavilion is closest to lot 4b for Friday's match. The Terrapin Ticket Office and entrances to the main court for Saturday are closest to lot 9b.

The Terps return to the Pavilion for a match for the first time since Aug. 26. Maryland's match vs. Rutgers is the first of three appearances on the Big Ten Network for the Terrapins.

The Terps had a tough road trip last weekend, competing against No. 16 Michigan State and No. 23 Michigan on the road. Maryland fell to the Spartans in three sets but pushed the Wolverines to a four-set match.

Maryland's match against Michigan State on Oct. 21 will be played on the XFINITY Center main court with a 5:30 p.m. opening serve. The teams will compete before the Maryland basketball programs host their annual Maryland Madness.

For the second straight year, sophomore outside hitter Gia Milana leads the Terps offensively. She paces the Terps with 3.21 kills per set and is second on the team with 2.30 digs per set.

In just her first season as a Terp, freshman outside hitter Erika Pritchard has been a crucial player for the Terps. A member of the program's highest-ranked recruiting class, Pritchard is second on Maryland with 3.04 kills per set and leads the Big Ten with 0.64 service aces per set. The Middletown, Md., native ranks ninth nationally in aces per set.

Junior libero Kelsey Wicinski leads the Terps defensively in the back row and ranks second in the conference with 4.74 digs per set.

Maryland went 11-1 in nonconference play, the team's best showing in nonconference play since going 8-1 in 2007. The Terps began the season with 10 straight wins, the best start to a season for the program since 2005.
