COLLEGE PARK, Md. - Senior thrower Emma O'Hara has been named to the 2017-18 Google Cloud Academic All-District 2 Women's Track/Cross Country Team, as selected by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA).

With this honor, O'Hara advances to the Google Cloud Academic All-America ballot, with Google Cloud Academic All-America teams scheduled to be announced in June.

A communication major with a 3.96 grade point average, O'Hara was chosen as one of 10 women's track/cross country student-athletes in Division I selected to the District 2 team.

The Abingdon, England native punched her ticket to the NCAA finals this past weeekend, after securing a mark of 60.42m (198’3”) in the last round of throws at the NCAA East Prelims in Tampa, Fla.  The senior punched her ticket with a 12th place finish and will look to continue this momentum on to Oregon.  O’Hara has continued to shine in the Hammer this season with multiple marks over 60m.
