BETHESDA, Md. - The Friends of Maryland Basketball (F.O.M.B.) hosted its annual end-of-the-year dinner Tuesday at the Congressional Country Club to celebrate the 2017-18 season.

Stan Goldstein, president of F.O.M.B., welcomed a large contingent of guests by highlighting the standout achievements on this year’s team, while looking ahead to the excitement of the 100th season of Maryland basketball in 2018-19.

Longtime Maryland basketball radio analyst Chris Knoche hosted the annual event and shared some of his most memorable moments from the season.

Head coach Mark Turgeon recognized his coaching and support staff and thanked the F.O.M.B. supporters for their continuous commitment and dedication to the program.

"Everyone in this room are great friends," said Turgeon. "I just want to thank you for being here tonight and for all of your support throughout the season. We had a great spring. The team has done a terrific job in the weight room and have built up a really strong rapport with each other - which is important and exciting."

Turgeon, who has won 24 or more games in four different seasons with the Terrapins, won his 400th career game as a head coach and 150th game at the helm for Maryland this past year. He welcomes a consensus top-15 recruiting class to College Park this summer, while the Terps will also spend two weeks in Italy together training as a team in August.
