Kocher Leads Terps at Ryman

NASHVILLE, Tenn. -- Senior David Kocher of the Maryland men's golf team  continuted his outstanding senior season this week at the Ryman Hospitality Intercollegiate at the Richland Country Club in Nashville, Tenn.

Kocher went -1 in each of the first two rounds with scores of 70. He shot a 77 in the final round Tuesday to finish +4 with a 217. He has picked up three top 10 finishes this season alone.

Sophomore Peter Knade was nine strokes over with a 222 and tied for 20th (74-74-74) in the individual standings. Sophomore Evan Santa tied for 26th with his score of 224 (73-80-71), which was +11.

Junior Timothy Colanta earned a score of 234 (81-76-77) and sophomore Bennett Buch earned a score of 239 (83-75-81). 

As a team, the Terrapins tied for eighth out of 14 teams with a score of 892 (298-295-299).

Next, the Terrapins will compete in the Stitch Golf Intercollegiate this weekend in Raleigh, N.C.
