COLLEGE PARK, Md. – Maryland men’s lacrosse attackman Logan Wisnauskas has been named Big Ten Freshman of the Week after a standout performance in the Terps’ win at Penn State Sunday night.
It marks the second consecutive week Wisnauskas has won the award, and the third of the season overall.
The Sykesville, Md., native was instrumental in the Terps’ win over the Nittany Lions, scoring three goals on five shots. Wisnauskas scored back-to-back goals during a critical fourth quarter run which propelled Maryland to a lead it would never relinquish.
The rookie has scored 24 goals through 10 games, including four hat tricks and nine multi-point games. Wisnauskas currently ranks third nationally among freshmen with 2.4 goals/g.
Wisnauskas and the Terrapins return to action Sunday night at 7:00 pm when they host Rutgers at Capital One Field at Maryland Stadium.
