COLLEGE PARK, Md. – The Maryland men's golf team will continue its spring slate at the Puerto Rico Classic tournament event this weekend at the Rio Mar Beach and Spa Resort’s River Course in Río Grande, Puerto Rico.
The 15 teams in the field will begin the 54-hole event at 8 a.m. on February 18. This is the third consecutive year that Maryland has taken part in the tournament, which is hosted by Purdue University.
The Puerto Rico Classic will feature five top-20 teams, including No. 1 Alabama and No. 3 Georgia Tech. The Terps are joined by Big Ten rivals Purdue and Northwestern.
After the shotgun start on Sunday the teams will play 18 holes each day, ending on Tuesday. Teams will be paired based on scores from the first two rounds.
