Ryan Denhart comes to Maryland after an All-American senior season at Los Alamitos High School. The Los Alamitos, Calif. native was the 2017 Sunset League Pitcher of the Year & Press Telegram Player of the Year, and helped lead her team to the 2017 CIF National Championship, State Championship and Division 1 Championship. How was your first semester at Maryland?
My first semester at Maryland was a learning curve because it was a new experience that I had to adapt to, but it was absolutely amazing.
What attracted you to the University of Maryland?
What attracted me to the University of Maryland was that it is different from a lot of other schools and because of all the love and pride for the university.
What is your favorite memory from playing softball?
My favorite memory from playing softball definitely would have to be my senior of high school when we won CIF.
How has it been getting to know your teammates?
Getting to know my teammates has been amazing we are one big family full of 18 sisters. We bonded right from the beginning.
Are you a good cook, what's your favorite thing to make?
I would say I am a decent cook. My favorite thing to cook would have to be lasagna.
What is your favorite thing about yourself?
My favorite thing about myself would have to be my sarcasm.
What is the best vacation you have ever been on?
The best vacation I have ever been on is when my whole family went to Mammoth Mountain.
If you could have an unlimited supply of one thing, what would it be?
What is your favorite thing to do on a day off?
My favorite thing to do on my day off is to relax and watch Netflix.
