The Terps had several stand out performances on the road this weekend, setting individual personal bests and breaking school records.
Freshman Dai'lyn Merriweather finished at 24.73 in the 200m, which is tied at ninth best in the school record books.
In the 600m, Obichi Onwukwe set a new personal best with a time of 1:35.60.
In distance events, Alexandra Lucki finished the 800m in 2:14.71 in first place. She also finished strong in the women’s mile at second in 4:55.86, with Christine Laurie following at 4:58.56, setting a new personal best. In the womens 3000m, Alexandra Lucki competed in her third event posting a time of 9:45.04.
In field events, senior Claudia Ababio placed 14th in a competitive field of the women's weight throw with a mark of 17.79m and Emma O'Hara, also a senior finished 15th in the standings. O’Hara’s mark in weight throw of 17.75m set a big personal record.
Claudia Ababio also threw a personal best of 15.64m in the women's shot put competition.
In the women's high jump competition, Sophomore Dallyssa Huggins cleared 5'7" placing fifth.
Senior Alex Leto also posted a time of 22.13 in the men’s 200m dash.
In the women’s mile, junior Emily Bracher ran 4:58.51 to place third.
Sophomore Brittany Lang won the 3k with a new personal best 9:56.43.
In distance events for the men, senior Louis Corgliano placed 3rd in the men’s 5k competition running 14:51.21. Patrick Hanley placed 2nd in the 3k at Liberty with a new PR of 8:25.85. Aaron Barlev placed 3rd in 8:38.05. Jared Loadholt wins his heat of the Men's 1k at Liberty in 2:36.01
Calvin Pitney cleared 16' 6¾" for a new PB in the Pole Vault at Liberty.
Continuing the success in field events for the Terps, Carlos Vanzego placed 4th in the Triple Jump with a mark of 47-05.75”. Also, in men’s long jump Gaston Assoua posted a mark of 22’9” and Drew Alfano posted a mark of 22’6.25”.
