COLLEGE PARK, Md. – Maryland baseball head coach Rob Vaughn announced the hiring of Meghan Kane as the program’s director of operations Thursday afternoon.
For the past three seasons, Kane has worked in the Maryland baseball office as a student operations intern. Her duties included arranging all aspects of team travel and assisting with fundraising efforts, most notably Maryland’s annual Golf Tournament and Lead-off Banquet.

You spend two minutes with her and you realize she is the smartest person in the room and will bring so much to our program – we all know she’s going to run the show.”
Kane also worked with Maryland’s Intercollegiate Athletics staff as a business office student assistant and worked for the minor league Frederick Keys as a marketing and business intern.
“I am incredibly thankful for the opportunity to work for the Maryland baseball program,” Kane said. “I’d like to thank Coach Vaughn for believing in me and giving me the chance to do what I love while working alongside some of the most passionate people I have ever met. I am excited to help this program continue to move forward.”
