COLLEGE PARK, Md. -- Maryland women's tennis head coach Daria Panova announced the team's 2017-18 schedule on Tuesday. The schedule features matches against some of the nation's best, including bouts against Michigan, Northwestern and Pepperdine.

"I'm excited about our spring season and how our young group will respond to the challenges of a tough non-conference and Big Ten schedule," Panova said. "We have a number of great opportunities against top teams right off the bat and we'll look to build off a strong fall season.  We made great strides last year in the rankings and will look to use that momentum going into January."

The season kicks off with Harvard at the JTCC on Jan. 21. Maryland will then head to California for the ITA Kickoff event, where they will face Pepperdine and then either Oregon or Rice. The Terps will continue their road trip and head to William & Mary on Feb. 10 at 1 p.m.

Maryland will then return home for its first regular-season homestand that will begin on Feb. 17 against Long Beach and continue with matches against George Washington on Feb. 18 and VCU on Feb. 24. The Terps will then head back on the road to face a pair of Ivy League foes, meeting Columbia on Mar. 3 and Princeton of Mar. 4. Maryland will then come back to College Park and face Marshall and West Virginia on Mar. 10 and 11.

Maryland will then go on a three-match road trip, beginning with its conference opener at Minnesota on Mar. 16 at 3 p.m. The Terps then head to Wisconsin on Mar. 18 and conclude the trip with Rutgers on Mar. 24.

Maryland will then return home to play its conference home opener Northwestern on Mar. 30 before going back on the road to Champaign, Illinois, to meet Illinois on April 1.

Big Ten foes Iowa and Nebraska will then come to College Park on April 7 and 8 before the Terps travel to Michigan on April 14 and 15 to meet Michigan and Michigan State.

The Terrapins will conclude their regular season with a pair of dual matches at the JTCC. Maryland will host Indiana on April 20 and Purdue on April 22.

The Big Ten Championships will be held in Minneapolis, Minnesota, on the campus of the University of Minnesota, beginning on April 25.

There is no admission charge to Maryland's home matches at the JTTC.
