COLLEGE PARK, Md. – The Maryland men's golf team will close its fall season at The Battle at Stono Ferry this weekend in Hollywood, S.C.
The Terps will play the first 36 holes Friday, beginning with an 8:30 a.m. shotgun start. The final round will be Saturday. Live scoring will be available here.
The Terrapins are one of 11 teams competing and will compete against Augusta University, Campbell, Elon, Francis Marion, Georgia State, High Point, James Madison, McNeese State, SMU and tournament-host College of Charleston.
The teams will play at The Links at Stono Ferry, which is a par-72 that covers 6,898 yards.
The Battle at Stono Ferry is in its inaugural year as Hurricane Irma cancelled The Invitational at The Ocean Course on Sept. 11-12 at the Kiawah Island Golf Resort on Kiawah Island, S.C.
Last time out, the Terps tied for fourth out of 15 teams at the Quail Valley Collegiate Invitational Oct. 23-24. Junior Chris Navarro led Maryland with his score of 209 (70-70-69), which was seven-under par. Both his score of 209 and his third round score of 69 set new career lows as he tied for 13th. Senior David Kocher tied for 15th with his score of 210 (76-65-69), which was -6 overall, which is his lowest score this year.
