Terps Finish Day One at Maryb S. Kauth Invite

SAN ANTONIO, Texas - The Maryland women's golf team wrapped up the first round in the Maryb S. Kauth Invitational Sunday at the Briggs Ranch Golf Club in San Antonio.

As a team, the Terrapins went eight strokes over par Sunday for a score of 281. They are tied for seventh of 14 teams.

Junior Ludovica Farina and sophomore Xiaolin Tian are leading Maryland with their scores of 73, which is one stroke over. They are tied for 16th.

Freshmen Laura Van Respaille and Virunpat Olankitkunchai are +3 with scores of 75 to tie for 29th. Freshman Charlotte Lafourcade shot a 78 Sunday.

The first and second rounds will be played Monday and Tuesday. Live scoring will be available here.

The Terrapins are competing against Arkansas, Denver, Houston, Kansas State, Middle Tennessee, North Texas, Oklahoma, TCU, Texas A&M, Texas Tech and UTSA.

Last time out, the Terrapins finished fourth out of 19 teams at the Pinehurst Challenge in Pinehurst, N.C. Oct. 9-10. Tian and Van Respaille both finished tied for 12th in the individual standings with scores of 214, which was two-under.
