B1G Announces 2017-18 Times, Network Affiliations

COLLEGE PARK, Md. – The Big Ten Conference announced game times and network affiliations for the 2017-18 Maryland men’s basketball season Thursday. Season tickets are on sale now starting as low as $359 and can be purchased by clicking here.

Maryland, which punched its ticket to a third straight NCAA Tournament last season, will have at least 23 nationally-televised games this season. The Terps’ entertaining 2017-18 slate will feature a potential 14 teams that competed in postseason play a year ago, including 10 at XFINITY Center.

Maryland will have a pair of games featured on CBS, four games on the ESPN family of networks and an additional seven on the conference’s newest television partner – FS1. All other contests will be shown on either BTN and/or streamed live on BTN Plus.

Two marquee league matchups will be featured on CBS on consecutive Sundays as the Terps’ host home battles with 2017 NCAA Tournament participants Michigan State (1 p.m. - Jan. 4) and Wisconsin (1 p.m. – Feb. 4).

Maryland will face two more NCAA Tournament teams as Northwestern (Noon - Feb. 10) and Michigan (Noon - Feb. 24) visit XFINITY Center to be broadcast on either ESPN or ESpm2. The Terps’ matchup at Ohio State on Jan. 11 will also air on ESPN/ESpm2.

FS1 will be the television home to games at XFINITY Center versus UMBC (8 p.m. – Dec. 29), Iowa (8 p.m. – Jan. 7), Minnesota (8:30 p.m. - Jan. 18) as well as road contests at Michigan State (Jan. 4), Michigan (Jan. 15), Indiana (Jan. 22) and Northwestern (Feb. 19).

Gavitt Tipoff Games and Big Ten/ACC Challenge network designations and start times will be distributed at a later time.

The Big Ten Tournament begins on Feb. 28 at Madison Square Garden. The semifinals and championship game on March 3-4 will be broadcast nationally on CBS.
