COLLEGE PARK, Md. - The University of Maryland football team will hold its annual preseason open practice on Saturday, Aug. 19 at 10:00 a.m. at Capital One Field at Maryland Stadium.
Gates will open at 9:00 a.m. Athletics department officials will be on hand for a select-a-seat event, where fans will have the opportunity to secure their seats for the upcoming 2017 season.
After the team’s scrimmage, which begins at 10:15 a.m., all fans will be invited to come on to the field to enjoy the turf, play catch, and take photos with Testudo. The on-field access will last 30 minutes.
Maryland Football posters, schedule cards and other giveaways for the 2017 season will be available at the marketing table inside Gate I. The first 25 fans to check in at the marketing table will have the opportunity to sign up to attempt a 20-yard field goal following the practice. All fans that make their field goal attempt will receive a Maryland prize pack and will be entered into a drawing to win two suite tickets to the home opener against Towson on Sept. 9.
All Terrapin Club donors, Coaches Club and above, will have exclusive access to the Gossett patio, where light refreshments will be served. These donors are asked to enter through Gate K. The annual Crab Feast for these donors will take place following the practice at 12:30 p.m.
Fans are advised to park in Lot 1, which is free on weekends and is adjacent to the stadium. Capital One Field at Maryland Stadium can be accessed through Gate I. For a campus map, click here.
