Incoming Terps Earn Honors

COLLEGE PARK, Md. – Eight incoming Maryland women’s soccer student athletes were named to the TeamSnap All-American lists, compiled by Top Drawer Soccer.

Delaware native Alyssa Poarch received second-team All-American honors after a stellar senior season at Middletown High School. A forward, Poarch has also been a part of the US Soccer Youth National Team set up over the past 12 months.

Maryland’s all-region picks were Stephanie deLaforcade (East Lyme, Conn.), Allie Brimmer (Severn, Md.), Maddison Krstec (North Point, Fla.), Jordan Schaefer (Wellington, Fla.) and Hannah Col (Austin, Texas).

Alexis Hogarth (Jarrettsville, Md.) and Sydney Staier (Springfield, Va.) were named state all-stars

Maryland opens its regular season on Friday, Aug. 18 at Ludwig Field against Drexel. The Terps will face Georgetown in a scrimmage at Ludwig Field on Aug. 11. Fans can log on to to purchase tickets.
