Taylor Named ILWomen's National Goalie of the Year

COLLEGE PARK, Md. - Sophomore goalie Megan Taylor was selected as ILWomen's Co-National Goalie of the Year this week after backlining the Maryland women's lacrosse team to a 23-0 record and the 2017 NCAA Championship.

As just a sophomore, Taylor emerged as one of the top goalies in the nation. She repeated as the Big Ten Goaltender of the Year and finished the year ranked third nationally with a .535 save percentage. Taylor was a Tewaaraton nominee, and set a career high with 20 saves against then-No. 3 Florida this year.

The Glenelg, Md., native was named an IWLCA First Team All-American and was an All-Big Ten selection and Big Ten All-Tournament team.

Taylor shares the honor with Princeton's Ellie DeGarmo.

Zoe Stukenberg was named ILWomen's National Midfielder of the Year while Nadine Hadnagy was the publication's National Defender of the Year.
