COLLEGE PARK, Md. – Sophomore goalie Megan Taylor was named Epoch/US Lacrosse’s National Player of the Week, as announced by the publication Monday.
Taylor made a career-high 18 saves in a 17-7 win over then-No. 4 Syracuse on Sunday. The Glenelg, Md., native also picked up three ground balls and two caused turnovers.
This season, Taylor ranks fifth nationally with a .573 save percentage and 10th in the country with an 8.20 goals against average.
The top-ranked Terps (6-0) host Johns Hopkins (7-1) to open Big Ten play at noon Sunday on the Big Ten Network.
