DETROIT -- The Maryland football team opened its third day in Detroit with a morning practice at Ford Field in preparation for its upcoming postseason appearance against Boston College in the Quick Lane Bowl Monday at 2:30 pm on ESPN.
It was the last full practice ever for the Terrapin seniors, who were carried off in celebratory fashion by their teammates for their years of dedication to the program. Following practice, the players received their first bowl gifts – lifesize fatheads – which were happily received.
After departing practice, the team made its way straight to the Gleaners Community Food Bank, where they happily packed potatoes and apples for families in need in the local community. Check out photos here!
The Terps showed their muscle, packing together more than 21,000 pounds of potatoes and 2,500 apples for the needy. Click here to learn more about Gleaners!
Maryland will have its final walkthrough of the season tomorrow at Ford Field, before it faces Boston College Monday.
