Luus, a fifth-year senior from Pretoria, South Africa, was named to the 16-member First Team after she earned Second Team All-America honors last year. Balsdon, a graduate student from Canterbury, U.K., and Holsboer, a junior from Hilversum, The Netherlands, were named to the Third Team. This is the first honor for Balsdon and Holsboer.
Luus led the Terrapins offensively with 15 goals and eight assists and Balsdon was second in scoring with 14 goals. Holsboer notched 11 assists.
Luus was named the Big Ten Player of the Year and Balsdon was named Big Ten Defensive Player of the Year earlier this season. All three of them were selected to the All-Big Ten Teams.
The Terrapins went 18-5 this season, winning the Big Ten regular season title and knocking off No. 1 Connecticut along the way. They made the program’s 22nd straight NCAA Tournament appearance this season, marking the longest current active streak in the country.
