COLLEGE PARK, Md. – Maryland head women’s tennis coach Daria Panova announced today the addition of Eva Alexandrova, who has signed her National Letter of Intent to come to the University of Maryland next season.
"We're thrilled to welcome Eva to the Maryland tennis family,” Panova said. “She brings a wealth of Junior International experience and has proven she can compete with the best in the world. Eva has impressed me with her work ethic both on the court and in the classroom and will be a successful student-athlete here at Maryland. She has a big game, is athletic, and possesses a lot of weapons we can work with that will transition well into college tennis."
Alexandrova is one of the highest rated recruits in Maryland history. She currently ranks 118th in the ITF rankings and most recently won an ITF Grade 3 tournament in Kazakhstan.
A versatile player, Alexandrova has a winning record in both singles and doubles throughout her career. Her ITF bio page can be found here.
Alexandrova hails from Belarus, but is currently training in Russia.
