COLLEGE PARK, Md. -- The Maryland football team fell, 62-3, to No. 6 Ohio State at Capital One Field at Maryland Stadium on Saturday afternoon.

Ohio State has won three straight games to improve to 9-1 overall and 6-1 in the Big Ten, while Maryland falls to 5-5 overall and 2-5 in league play.

The Buckeyes scored touchdowns on their first two possessions to take an early 14-0 lead.

Senior quarterback Caleb Rowe relieved an injured Perry Hills midway through the first quarter and completed four passes, including a 37-yard strike to Levern Jacobs, during a 13-play, 76-yard drive that ended with an Adam Greene field goal.

Ohio State responded on the ensuring drive, scoring on just four plays. Junior quarterback J.T. Barret connected with Curtis Samuel for a 36-yard touchdown and the Buckeyes cruised from that point.

Maryland returns to action at No. 19 Nebraska on Nov. 19. Kick time and network platform will be announced on Sunday.
