LOUISVILLE - Sophomore Ludovica Scandroglio notched her first career top-10 showing Tuesday to lead the Maryland women’s golf team at the 2016 Cardinal Cup.
Scandroglio (79-73-73/225) finished nine over to tie for 10th.
Maryland – which shot the second lowest score in the tournament field in the third round, finished seventh overall.
“We had the second best round of the field today which is good to end up on. Our goal today was to leave everything out on the course, give it your all. No matter what our scores were, we were determined to come out with no regrets,” head coach Diana Cantu said. “I'm especially proud of Ludovica Scandroglio. She has matured and improved a lot since last year and I'm very happy for her first top 10 finish of her career.
“Overall, we had a decent fall performance. I see a lot of potential on this team and I'm looking forward to seeing them work hard this break and come back stronger in the spring.”
