CHAPEL HILL, N.C. – The Maryland men's golf team finished third at the Tar Heel Intercollegiate Friday at the University of North Carolina Golf Course in Chapel Hill. Sunday's third and final round was cancelled, due to weather.
The Terrapins went three-under with a score of 573 (285-288) through 36 holes.
Freshman Peter Knade led the way for Maryland. He tied for fifth in the standings with a score of 141 (70-71), which was three-under. Sophomore Timothy Colanta tied for eighth with his combined score of 142 (72-70), which was two-under par.
Junior David Kocher tied for 13th and was one-under par overall. He earned a score of 143 (72-71).
The Terrapins will play in the Kiawah Classic Oct. 30 - Nov. 1.
