BALTIMORE - The future of the women’s lacrosse team was well represented at the 9th annual Under Armour All-America Lacrosse Classic at Johnny Unitas Stadium in Towson, Md.

Taylor Hensh, Steffani Holmes, Kacie Longo, Shelby Scanlin, and Megan Whittle all represented the South team, which lost to the North team 18-11.

Scanlin and Whittle tabbed two goals each while Hensh and Longo scored one goal apiece. Hensh added a ground ball and Longo posted one draw control.

Holmes did not play due to injury.

With five players on the list, Maryland joined Northwestern and Florida as the most-represented programs in the UA All-America game.

Under Armour All-Americans are selected by a panel of lacrosse experts from Inside Lacrosse Magazine. The year-long selection process includes input from college and high school coaches from across the country as well as nominations from the public.
