USA Field Hockey experience: Member of USA High Performance training squad in Mid-Atlantic region.

As a senior (2017): Saw first action of the year vs. Towson (Sept. 8).

As a junior (2016): Saw action in three games...part of team that won third straight Big Ten regular season title.

As a sophomore (2015): Saw action in four games...saw first career action in Terps' home opener vs. Saint Joseph's (Aug. 30)...part of team that swept Big Ten regular season and tournament titles.

As a freshman (2014): Part of team that won first Big Ten championship in school history.

Before Maryland: Played four years of varsity field hockey at Hereford High School…team went to state finals in her junior and senior seasons…team won Region in all four years…team won Baltimore County title in freshman, sophomore and junior seasons…scored 26 goals and 29 assists…named All-Baltimore County First Team, All-Metro Second Team and All-State Second Team as a senior…also played three years of lacrosse at Hereford…played junior varsity in freshman and sophomore years…was moved up to varsity as a sophomore and played varsity as a junior…part of two Baltimore County championship teams…ran indoor track as a freshman, junior and senior on the 4 X 400 and 4 X 800 relays…played for TNT Field Hockey Club and Diamond Lacrosse Club…member of USA Futures program since 2009…won bronze medal in 2013 in Futures national championship and the Disney Showcase…named Wendy's High School Heisman winner.

Personal: Layne Adele Litsinger...daugher of Bill and Pam Litsinger...has one sister, Lauren...father played lacrosse and soccer at Washington College...chose Maryland for the excellent academics and distinguished field hockey program...journalism major with minor in French...has  an interest in digital marketing and media.
