COLLEGE PARK, Md. – Senior Sean Bosdosh of the Maryland men’s golf team will compete in NCAA Regionals beginning Thursday morning in Raleigh, N.C. Bosdosh will compete in the Raleigh region hosted by NC State at the Lonnie Poole Golf Club Thursday through Sunday.
Bosdosh will tee off in the first round Thursday at 10:20 a.m. Live scoring will be available at http://golfstatresults.com/public/indexh.cfm?tournament_id=5226. This is the second straight year Bosdosh received an individual bid after competing in last year’s Tallahassee Regional.
In addition to the 81 teams that make up the regional fields, 45 individuals were chosen to play in the 54-hole events. The low five teams and low individual not on those teams in each region will advance to the National Championship May 23-28 in Hutchinson, Kan.
Bosdosh picked up three top-10 finishes on the year and finished in the top 20 in eight of 10 tournaments. He had a team-low average of 72.30 through 10 events.
The individual field in Raleigh also includes J.T. Poston (West Carolina), Evan Russell (Hartford), Franco Castro (UNC-Charlotte), Brandon Matthews (Temple), Richard Fountain (Davidson), Eric Brady (East Carolina), Andrew Dorn (Coastal Carolina), Ben Wheeler (Coastal Carolina) and Zach Seabolt (Winthrop).
