LOS ANGELES – Alicia DeVaughn of the Maryland women’s basketball team was named to the Los Angeles Sparks training camp roster Wednesday.
DeVaughn signed on to the Sparks’ training camp roster as a free agent. Training camp kicks off Sunday at Los Angeles Southwest College. She is the 10th Terrapin under head coach Brenda Frese to attend a WNBA training camp.
DeVaughn helped lead Maryland to a record of 109-28 (.800) in her four years. She played in every game of her career, which was 137 straight. She helped the Terps reach the 2014 Final Four, win the 2012 ACC title, reach three Sweet Sixteens and two Elite Eights.
DeVaughn is in the top 10 of the Maryland record books in rebounding with 816 in her career and in blocks with 129.
The Terrapins went 28-7 on the 2013-14 season and beat No. 3 Tennessee and No. 4 Louisville en route to their fourth NCAA Final Four.
