COLLEGE PARK, Md. - The Maryland women’s golf team travels to John’s Island, S.C., for the Briar’s Creek Invitational beginning with first round action Monday.
The Golf Club at Briar’s Creek is a 6,120 yard, par-72 course. The two-day invitational is hosted by the College of Charleston. Participating teams include Charleston Southern, Chattanooga, Clemson, Coastal Carolina, East Carolina, East Tennessee State, GRU Augusta, Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, Penn State, Princeton, South Florida, Texas Tech, Wisconsin, and the host Cougars.
The Terps finished 12th at the Clover Cup its last time out. Maryland was led by Juliet Vongphoumy, who shot two-over par (74) and finished the tournament tied in seventh place.
