The University of Maryland Olympic Sports Strength and Conditioning Department offers internships each semester. Duties include assisting the strength and conditioning staff with all aspects of the athletic performance program as well as daily maintenance of weight room and facilities. This is an unpaid position. Living and transportation arrangements will not be provided. Interns will gain valuable experience and learn about training philosophy, Olympic lifting modalities, and how to structure and execute a successful strength and conditioning program.
Minimum qualifications: Strong work ethic and desire to become a strength and conditioning professional. Candidates should have or be working towards attaining their bachelor’s degree in a related field and at least one of the following Certifications: CSCS, SCCC, USAW.
Preferred qualifications: Prior experience, Master’s degree, enrolled in Master’s program
