Hey Terp Fans!
It has been an exciting and intense week for the Terps as we start back with our boot camp training! To kick off boot camp this week, the coaches surprised us with a boot camp adventure! We started with some conditioning and cardio at the Club Golf Fitness Center. One of the stations in our circuit even included putt-putt golf. After our circuit, Brett made a bet with the team that if anyone could make a put from a certain distance, he would treat the entire team to Rita’s! Brett’s confidence was quickly shot down when Lizzy Manzi landed a hole in one on her first try! Victory never tasted so good!
We also have brand new floor routines for the 2013-2014 season. Thanks to Russell for coming up with some amazing choreography. I love my first floor routine as a Gym Terp!
Despite having numerous exams and schoolwork this past week, the Gym Terps have been putting in exceptional work in the gym. Everyone has really been stepping up the intensity, putting routines together, and pushing our workouts to the limit! It is weeks like this one that make our team stronger than ever! I’d like to give a special shout out to Karen Tang’s amazing full twisting double layout dismount that she nailed this past week on bars!
This weekend is also parent’s weekend! We had a great time seeing our families despite the rainy weather.
We have one last week of boot camp ahead of us and I know that this team will take every workout to the next level. Stay tuned for more exciting news from the Gym Terps!
