2000 (Junior): Started in all 22 games … had an outstanding junior campaign, nearly matching her previous career totals for goals, assists and points … was second on the team in scoring with 92 points … the 92 points ranks sixth on the Terrapin single-season list … her 65 goals were second only to Jen Adams (81) nationally and were the third-highest single-season total in Maryland history … also added 27 assists, third most on the team … paced the Terps in scoring six times … as is her trademark, she came up big as tournament time rolled around … started a strong scoring run in the first game of the ACC Tournament against Virginia (4/22) as she led the Terps with three goals … from the Virginia game on, she scored 26 of her 65 goals (3.25 per game) and led the team four times in eight games … added 46 ground balls and 13 caused turnovers … just missed her career high in a six-goal performance at Syracuse (3/12) … scored five goals and added an assist at Loyola (4/29) … found the back of the net four times on seven other occasions … a first team IWLCA All-America and an All-ACC selection … also named a first team IWLCA South Region All-America.
1999 (Sophomore): Started in all 21 games … came on strong at the end of the season, scoring 12 of her 56 goals in the three games of the NCAA Tournament … broke the Ludwig Field record for goals in a game with her seven-goal barrage against Georgetown (5/8) in the NCAA quarterfinals … not only did she score seven goals to help the Terps advance, but she converted all seven of her shots that day for a perfect shooting performance… the Terps’ third-leading scorer with 56 goals and 25 assists … was the ACC Player of the Week twice, including one selection for her stellar performance against Georgetown (5/8) … had 60 ground balls and 15 draw controls … an All-ACC selection … an NCAA all-tournament selection.
1998 (Freshman): Appeared in 20 games, including all of Maryland’s NCAA tournament games … ranked ninth on the team in scoring with 19 points … netted 11 goals and added eight assists … enjoyed a career performance against Old Dominion where she scored five points (three goals and two assists) … scored two goals twice … goals came against William & Mary and James Madison … scored at least one goal in five consecutive games.
Prep: A 1997 graduate of North Shore High School … a high school All-American in her senior year … her shooting ability led her to become Nassau County’s leading scorer as a senior … a three-sport athlete, lettering in soccer and basketball in addition to lacrosse.
Personal: Allison Comito was born December 4, 1979 … is the daughter of Evangeline and Phillip Comito … participated in student government and S.A.D.D. … majoring in sociology.
