Henry Baker is in his second season as a defensive graduate assistant with the Terps, pursuing a master's of education degree.

Prior to arriving in College Park, Baker coached at several high schools, most recently serving as wide receivers coach and strength and conditioning coordinator at South Miami (Fla.) Senior High. He also served as Maryland's recruiting intern in 2001.

Baker also has previously worked in a defensive role for the Columbus Destroyers and Carolina Cobras of the Arena Football League.

Formerly a standout defensive back for Maryland from 1994-97, Baker played professionally for the New Jersey Red Dogs (AFL), Norfolk Nighthawks (AF2) and Kansas City Chiefs.

Baker originally graduated from the University of Maryland in 2003 with a degree in sociology.
