Before Maryland: A three-year letterwinner in soccer, Stammler was a three-time all-league selection at Gahanna ... his senior year, he was an all-district and Super 12 selection as well as the team MVP ... his career totals were 54 goals and 33 assists for 141 career points ... Stammler was also the placekicker for Gahanna's football team his senior year, converting 18 extra points and five field goals.
