2004 Cross Country: Competed in six of the team's seven races... finished 17th overall at the ACC Pre-Meet, running a 27:23.39 on the home, 6.3k course... ran her best 6k time of 24:14 at the Penn State Invitational... fastest 5k time was in the IC4A/ECAC Championships, running a 20:44 to finish 89th.

As a Sophomore: Did not compete for the Terps.

As a Freshman: Indoor- Posted team's second-best time in the 5,000 meter run at the Meyo Invitational...took third place in the 3,000 meter run at the Maryland Invitational, finishing with a season-best time of 10:43.82...placed fourth at the Delaware Invitational in the 3,000 meter run...Outdoor- Set team's second-best time in the 10,000 and 5,000 meter runs...finished second in the 5,000 at the Maryland Invitational...also competed in the 1,500 and 3,000 meter runs.

Before Maryland: Won varsity letters in cross country and indoor and outdoor track at Severna Park High School in Severna Park, Md....served as captain of all three teams...regional champion, and selected for All-Metro and All-County in 2002 for track and cross country...county champion in cross country in 2000 and indoor and outdoor track in 2002...named to Power Bar All-Extra team and Washington Post All-Extra team...was athlete of the week and MVP...was on the honor roll...won the school's Minds in Motion Award.

Personal: Daughter of JoAnn and Charles Funk...has one brother, Jason, and one sister, Elizabeth, who plays lacrosse for Salisbury University...majoring in architecture...chose Maryland over UNC Greensboro and Loyola.
