2005 OUTDOOR TRACK - Had the Terps' top two long jumps of the season... Her best jump of 21-1.75 placed second at the ECAC Championships, was an outdoor school record and was an NCAA regional mark... qualified for the ECAC Championships with a first-place jump of 21-0 at the Morgan State Legacy meet... posted a jump of 19-8 at the NCAA East Regional and finished 11th... Placed 17th at the ACC Championships with a mark of 17-0... Ran in the 200 meters at the Navy Invitational and finished first at 24.99... Was also a member of the ECAC qualifying 4x100 relay team... team placed fourth at the ECAC Championships and sixth at the ACC Championships finishing in 46.23 and 46.78 respectively.

2005 INDOOR TRACK - Competed in the 200 meters and the long jump... Ran a season-best, ECAC-qualifying 24.73 in the 200 at the ACC Championships to finish 11th... Placed first at the Delaware Invitational running 25.47... Her best long jump of the season, 20-3.50, at the Alex Wilson Invitational, was an NCAA provisional mark and an ECAC-qualifying mark... Placed first at the Maryland invitational with a jump of 20-3... went 19-1.25 at the ACC Championships, good for a ninth-place finish.

AS A SOPHOMORE - Took third place at the ACC Indoor Championships in the long jump at 20-1.50... placed fifth in the long jump at ECAC Indoor... placed fourth with season-best 20-5.25 at the Alabama Relays.

AS A FRESHMAN - Won the long jump at the Maryland Invitational and the Delaware Invitational... ECAC qualifier... placed fifth in the long jump at the ACC Outdoor and eighth at the ACC Indoor.

BEFORE MARYLAND - A team captain (1997-99) in indoor and outdoor track at Christiana High School... holds Delaware state long jump records, both indoor (18-9) and outdoor (19-5.50)... 4x100 and 4x200 relay teams also hold state records... Gatorade Delaware Player of the Year and The News Journal Athlete of the Year in 1998-99... a Delaware N5CTA Grand Prix champion in 1997 and 1999.

PERSONAL - Daughter of Lela Hairston... has two sisters, Leia Harris and Candace Harris... married to husband, Napoleon Hernandez... took a three-year hiatus from track, got married to Napoleon Hernandez, had a son and returned to team in 2004.
