2004 OUTDOOR TRACK - Had the team's fourth-best 3,000 time of the season (11:00.68) to finish 12th at the Tar Heel Opener... had the team's fourth and fifth-best 3,000-meter steeplechase times... ran a 12:23.29 in the steeplechase to finish 19th at the ACC Championships.

2004 INDOOR TRACK - Competed in the mile and 1,000 and 3,000-meter runs... had the team's third-best time in the 1,000, running 3:14.74 to finish fifth at the Collegiate Open... ran a 5:37.14 in the mile to finish 13th at the Delaware Invitational... top 3,000-meter time of the season (11:04.64) came at the ACC Championships.

2003 INDOOR TRACK - Competed in three meets for the Terps, running the mile and the 5,000 and 3,000-meter runs... took fourth in the 5,000-meter run at the Maryland Invitational... finished fifth in the 3,000-meter run at the Delaware Invitational.

BEFORE MARYLAND - Won varsity letters at Urbana High School in cross country and track and field... was All-County, All-State and All-Region in cross country for four years... named Cross Country Athlete of the Year by the Frederick Post in 2001... was her cross country team's MVP for three years... participated in SADD and held a 3.75 GPA... will compete against former teammates Jen Baclawski and Lauren Graff, who run for American and Georgia Tech, respectively.

PERSONAL - Daughter of Sharon and Dale Shomette... enjoys playing the piano, modeling, camping and art... has one sister, Michelle... majoring in biological science.
