On Christensen: An attacker with a knack for the goal … possesses an uncanny awareness and riskiness in front of the cage … will see playing minutes on the forward line … joined the squad as a walk-on prior to the 1999 season.

As a redshirt freshman in 2000: Appeared in eight games as a midfielder/forward … scored her first career goal only minutes into her first career game at Delaware (Sept. 9) … converted a long upfield pass from Carla Tagliente to cap the 8-0 victory … logged postseason minutes in Maryland’s first-round NCAA Tournament win over New Hampshire (Nov. 11).

As a freshman in 1999: A redshirt season.

Before Maryland: Named first-team all-county as a senior and second-team all-county as a junior at Oakland Mills ... named the field hockey team MVP her senior year ... was the lacrosse team MVP as a junior and senior ... also played indoor field hockey on the club level in the offseason ... participated in the 1998 indoor national tournament … a member of the National Honor Society.
