Maryland Defeats Delaware 8-1 in Field Hockey

COLLEGE PARK, MD -- Senior forward Nadine Bennett (Chegutu, Zimbabwe) scored a career-high four goals, leading the third-ranked Maryland field hockey team to a 8-1 win over No. 14 Delaware at the Astroturf Facility tonight. The Terps improved their record to 9-0 while the Blue Hens dropped to 6-2.

Bennett scored all her goals in the first half, giving her 10 goals for the season. Freshman forward Keli Smith (Selinsgrove, Pa.), freshman forward Molly Kauffman (Reading, Pa.), senior midfielder Sarah Rosenwinkel (Wyndmoor, Pa.) and sophomore midfielder Ellen Wolf (Wyomissing, Pa.) also scored for the Terps.

Maryland's next game is at home on Saturday against No. 11 Wake Forest at 1:00 P.M.
