Erinn Dooley enters her fourth season on the Maryland coaching staff this year, after helping lead the Terps to their fourth consecutive NCAA Regional appearance. She joins the Terrapins after coaching at legendary Hill's Gymnastics Training Center in Gaithersburg, Md.

"Maryland is fortunate to have Erinn join its staff," Nelligan said. "Her experiences at the highest levels of collegiate and international competition will greatly benefit our student-athletes. Erinn is an accomplished gymnast, strength trainer and coach, and will play a significant role in our mission to be one of the elite programs in the country."

A graduate of Gaithersburg High School, she trained at Hill's alongside Olympians Dominique Dawes, Elise Ray and Courtney Kupets, alongside well-known Olympic coach Kelli Hill. Dooley became a U.S. National team member from 1997-2000. She competed with both the 1997 and 1999 runner-up U.S. teams at the Pan-American games. In 2000, she was a part of the gold-medal U.S. team at the Senior Pacific Alliance competition in New Zealand. She won the American Junior Classic all-around in 1997 and finished ninth in the 1999 World Team Trials.

Throughout her college years at the University of Florida, she was a seven-time All-American gymnast for the Gators. Dooley was named Southeastern Conference Gymnast of the Week twice and was named to the All-SEC second team four times. She served as co-captain for the Gators for both her junior and senior years.

Dooley has a background in athletic training, as she earned her bachelor's degree in Fitness/Wellness from the University of Florida in 2000. Prior to coming to join the Maryland staff, Dooley coached at Hill's where she primarily worked with older gymnasts at the elite levels. She also worked at Philbin's Athletic Training Center in Gaithersburg.
