Best finish of the spring was a T13th at the Pat Bradley Women's Championship which opened the season (74-75-77--226)... Finished second on the team in that event... Low 18-hole total came in first round of NCAA East Regional, where Terps were making their first appearance ever... Best finish was 16th at Spider Spring Invitational as Maryland earned team title... Finished 16th with rounds of 87-79--166... Finished fourth on the team and 36th overall at ACC Championships with scores of 86-84-83--253 as Terps finished ninth.

Fall 2004: Played in all five events, posting an 80.9 scoring average over 14 rounds... Lowest 18-hole score was a 74 shot in the first round of the fall season, the opening 18 at the Cougar Classic... Finished that event T73rd with 74-88-79--241... Lowest 54-hole total was a 237 shot at the Taco Bell Intercollegiate, where she tied for 58th... Best individual finish was a tie for 40th a the Lady Jaguar Invitational, won by the Terrapins... Shot 87-80--167 at that event, held in Augusta, Ga.

Spring 2004: Played as an individual at the Miccosukee Championship hosted by Florida International University... Tied for 58th with rounds of 87-85-87--259... Finished the 2003-04 season with an 86.2 scoring average in six rounds.

Fall 2003: Participated in one tournament as an individual... tied for 57th at Nittany Lion Fall Invitational with scores of 86-86-86--258 on Penn State's Blue Course.

Before Maryland: Captain of golf team at Upper St. Clair for two years... was nominated for school's Athlete of the Year award... Upper St. Clair was unbeaten during her four seasons there... finished ninth in Pennsylvania state tournament in 2002... Placed third in WPIAL in 2001 and second in 2002... four-year member of the student council and was president of the Latin Club.

Personal: Parents are Val and Bob MacWhinnie... brother, Bobby, played recently on the Maryland men's golf team... plans to major in communications... enjoys yoga... chose Maryland over St. John's, Richmond and Georgetown.
