Fall 2006: Played in three events, finishing second on the team with a 73.7 scoring average... All nine of his rounds counted toward the team total and five of his six rounds were at or below par... Best finish of the fall was a T7th at the Coca-Cola Duke Classic, where he led Maryland with rounds of 73-71-70--214 for a 2-under total... Shot a 68 in the second round of the Xavier Invitational (71-68-72--211), where he helped Maryland to a third-place team finish... Finished T16th overall and second on the team in that event... Also T49th at the Landfall Tradition (82-77-79--238).
Spring 2006: Appeared in one event during spring semester... Played as an individual at the Furman Intercollegiate, where he tied for 80th (78-86-72--236)... Finished 2005-06 full season with 76.3 scoring average in nine rounds.
Fall 2005: Played in first two events of the fall season... Was 2nd on team at VCU/Mattaponi Springs Shootout with T42 finish (80-68-74--222)... The second-round 68 was his best round at Maryland... Finished fall with 75.2 scoring average... Two of his six rounds in fall season were even or under par.
Spring 2005: Finished second on the team in scoring average at 75.7 in 7 spring events... Scores counted toward team total in 18 of his 20 rounds in the spring... Had top-10 finish with a tie for 8th at the William & Mary Invitational (76-74--150)... Moved into the lineup at William & Mary and did not relinquish spot for remainder of semester... Two other top-20 finishes came at LSU, where he led team with T14 finish (72-73-76--221) and at Cavalier Classic with T19 finish (77-77-77--231)... His 221 at LSU was best of spring... Was 3rd on team with T42 finish at ACC Championships (80-83-71--234), where his third round was Terps' best of the day... Tied for 100th at NCAA East Regional in Nashville, where he was third on the team (76-70-79--225)... His 70 in the second round was his best 18-hole score of the semester.
Fall 2004: Tied for ninth with 72-72-75--219 score at The McLaughlin held at Bethpage Red State Park while playing as an individual... Also played as an individual at the James Madison Invitational, shooting rounds of 71 and 74... Finished fall with 72.8 scoring average in five rounds.
Spring 2004: Did not see any action for the Terps... During summer play, won the Richmond (Va.) Golf Association Men's Championship in Petersburg... Defeated 2001 champion Jeff Greenfield, 6-and-5, in the final while playing in the event for the first time in his career.
Fall 2003: Did not see any action.
Before Maryland: Two-time district player of the year at Freeman HS... earned all-district honors in all four seasons and was an all-region selection... led his team in scoring average in three seasons... participated in a number of AJGA events... chose Maryland over Virginia, James Madison and Louisville.
Personal: Born in Richmond, Va... son of Cathy and Hunter Bendall... has one younger sister... President of History Club in high school... plans to major in business.
