COLLEGE PARK, Md. - Former University of Maryland field hockey player Danielle Keeley, a senior on the 2008 national championship team, was named a top graduating senior of the Robert H. Smith School of Business at the Ninth Annual Dean's Undergraduate Awards Banquet on May 7 at the Inn and Conference Center.
Keeley, a midfield/forward who appeared in 23 of the Terrapins' 24 games last season, was one of five seniors from each of the R.H. Smith's School of Business departments to be awarded top graduating honors. The Elkton, Md., native was named top senior from the general business department.
The banquet honored students that possessed qualities of leadership, service and academics and celebrated the achievements of students, faculty and Smith community leaders.
Keeley scored the game-winning goal in the first round of the NCAA Tournament versus Albany last season, helping to cap her senior campaign with three national championships in four years.
