Terps Women's Tennis Drops Match to No. 33 Indiana
The Maryland women's tennis team fell to No. 33 Indiana, 5-2, Saturday afternoon at the Tennis Center at College Park. The Terrapins dropped to 3-8 on the spring season, while the Hoosiers improved to 11-3.

The Terrapins won the first two singles matches of the competition. Junior captain Michal Amir won her match over Alba Berdala, 6-4, 6-4, at the No. 1 singles slot, while freshman Karin Lundmark defeated Katya Zapadalova, 6-4, 6-3, at the No. 2 position.

Sophomore Maggie MacKeever, freshmen Oksana Krutiyenko and Julia Huschke all forced their matches in to third sets. MacKeever fell to Charlotte Martin, 7-6, 2-6, 6-2, at the No. 3 position. Krutiyenko lost to Brianna Williams, 6-4, 2-6, 7-5, at the No. 6 spot, and Huschke dropped her match to Sigrid Fisher, 2-6, 6-2, 6-4, at the No. 4 slot.

Sophomore Lisa Miller fell to Lindsey Stuckey, 6-2, 6-2, at the No. 5 position.

In doubles play, Amir and Miller fell to Williams and Myriam Sopel, 8-4. MacKeever and Huschke lost to Berdala and Martin, 7-6, and Lundmark and Krutiyenko dropped their match to Fisher and Stephanie Heller, 8-4.

The Terrapins will head north to continue ACC play Tuesday at Boston College in Chesnut Hill, Mass. The match is scheduled to take place at 3 p.m.
