COLLEGE PARK, Md. - University of Maryland softball player Lindsay Klein has been selected to the Jewish Sports Review's 2005 All-America team, the publication announced recently. It is Klein's second year in a row garnering a spot on the first team, and the sophomore second baseman was also named a first team All-ACC selection in May.
Klein, an Orange, Calif., native, started all 49 games for the Terrapins in 2005 and led the team with 32 runs batted in, five home runs, 12 doubles and a .333 batting average. At first base, her fielding average of .997 was tops on the team.
The Terrapins finished the season with a 28-21 overall record and a fourth place finish at the ACC Tournament.
