SKILLMAN, N.J. - Junior Michal Amir, a member of the University of Maryland women's team, is 102nd in latest the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) singles rankings which were announced Tuesday.
For Amir it's her first appearance in the national rankings. She has a 5-4 record in dual singles matches, playing at the No. 1 position all year.
Maryland (3-6, 0-1) will look to even its Atlantic Coast Conference record Friday against North Carolina, which is tied for No. 13 in the nation.
The Terps and Tar Heels are scheduled to square off at 11 a.m. in Chapel Hill, N.C.
